Frédéric Laugrand est anthropologue, professeur au Département d'anthropologie de l'Université Laval et le directeur actuel de la revue Anthropologie et sociétés. Il a coécrit de nombreux articles et livres avec Jarich Oosten dont, dernièrement, Inuit Shamanism and Christianity. Transitions and Transformations (MQUP, 2010) et Hunters, Predators and Prey. Inuit Perceptions of Animals (Berghahn Books, 2014).
